JITOA Delegation Visits Damascus for a Tourism Roadshow

A delegation comprising 15 inbound tour operators and 5 hotels from the members of the Jordan Inbound Tour Operators Association (JITOA) visited the Syrian capital, Damascus. The visit came at the invitation of the Damascus Tourism Chamber, aiming to strengthen joint cooperation and revitalize tourism movement between the two brotherly countries.

The Jordanian delegation was headed by the Chairman of the JITOA Board of Directors, Mr. Nabih Riyal, with the participation of the Chairman of the Advisory Council, Mr. Mohammed Samih, and Board Members Mr. Eid Al-Nawafleh and Mr. Nidal Bani Issa, alongside representatives of the participating companies and hotels.

The visit featured an official reception ceremony held at the Dama Rose Hotel Damascus, attended by representatives of Syrian tourism companies, members of the Damascus Tourism Chamber, the Advisor to the Syrian Minister of Tourism, the Assistant to the Jordanian Ambassador in Damascus, a representative from Royal Jordanian, and several prominent tourism and economic figures.

Business-to-business (B2B) meetings and workshops were also held between the Jordanian and Syrian companies to explore cooperation opportunities and develop joint tourism programs, contributing to increasing tourism traffic, exchanging expertise, and opening new horizons for the tourism sector in both countries.
