Minister of Tourism and Antiquities Receives JITOA Board of Directors to Strengthen Sector Cooperation

H.E. Dr. Emad Hijazeen, Minister of Tourism and Antiquities, met with the Jordan Inbound Tour Operators Association (JITOA), represented by Chairwoman Ms. Ghada Al Najjar and the Board of Directors, to discuss ways to enhance the resilience and competitiveness of Jordan’s tourism sector.
The Minister highlighted the importance of establishing a joint mechanism with tourism associations to coordinate efforts and implement both short- and long-term plans, giving special attention to supporting the inbound tourism sector. He also noted that the Ministry will align its programs with the upcoming Executive Program of the Economic Modernization Vision (2026–2028), alongside a 2025 strategic plan to guide priorities for targeted tourism markets, develop tourism products and services, and diversify experiences, reinforcing Jordan’s appeal as a global destination.
Ms. Ghada Al Najjar reaffirmed JITOA’s commitment to continuous cooperation with the Ministry, appreciating the ongoing dialogue and initiatives that support tourism establishments, diversify markets, and strengthen Jordan’s position as a leading tourism destination.
