Ministry of Tourism Hosts Workshop on National Strategy for Inclusive Tourism in Jordan

The Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities, in collaboration with the Higher Council for the Rights of Persons with Disabilities, recently held an introductory workshop for the National Strategy for Inclusive Tourism. Bringing together representatives from both the public and private sectors, the event aimed to outline the strategy’s core pillars and implementation mechanisms as part of a national vision to develop a more inclusive and accessible tourism industry.

Headed by Secretary General Dr. Yazan Khdair, the workshop reviewed comprehensive plans to enhance the readiness of tourist sites and facilities. By aligning with international best practices, the strategy focuses on upgrading service standards to ensure that persons with disabilities, the elderly, and families can enjoy a seamless and accessible travel experience. Discussions also emphasized the vital role of institutional partnerships in driving infrastructure development and supporting the strategy's execution.
