JITOA Successfully Organizes Landmark Tourism Roadshow in Istanbul, Expanding Jordan’s Global Footprint

The Jordan Inbound Tour Operators Association (JITOA) organized a Roadshow in Istanbul, Turkey, aiming to enhance tourism cooperation between Jordan and Turkey, build new commercial partnerships, and expand promotional opportunities for Jordan in global markets.
The Roadshow was attended by the Minister of Tourism and Antiquities, Imad Hijazeen, and the Jordanian Ambassador in Istanbul, Hazem Al-Khatib, alongside Turkish and Jordanian tourism companies and member hotels of the association, with the first official participation of the Jordan Hotel Association.
JITOA was represented at the event by Board Chairman Nabih Riyal, Official Spokesperson Nidal Bani Issa, Board Member Yasar Malhas, and Executive Director Lama Mahadeen.
Organized in cooperation with Royal Jordanian Airlines, the workshop featured direct business-to-business (B2B) meetings between Jordanian and Turkish tourism companies to explore joint cooperation opportunities and develop bilateral tourism packages to attract visitors from various markets.
Participants also discussed cooperation prospects with the Association of Turkish Travel Agencies (TÜRSAB) to implement joint tourism programs targeting long-haul markets—particularly Japan and select Latin American countries—leveraging Turkish Airlines' extensive destination network to market Jordan and incorporate it into multi-destination travel itineraries.
Furthermore, attendees discussed the possibility of hosting Turkish Television to produce a dedicated promotional show about Jordan tailored for the Turkish market, as well as organizing familiarization (FAM) and marketing trips for representatives of Turkish tourism companies to the Kingdom, in cooperation with Royal Jordanian and the Jordan Tourism Board, to experience Jordan’s diverse tourism offerings firsthand.
The events included professional meetings and visits to the Türkiye Tourism Promotion and Development Agency (TGA) and the senior management of the new Istanbul Airport to gain insights into the Turkish experience in tourism promotion, destination management, boosting tourism traffic, and strengthening air connectivity and integration between transport and tourism marketing.
JITOA emphasized that this event falls within its ongoing strategy to diversify target markets, expand international partnership networks, empower Jordanian tourism companies to access new markets, and turn professional meetings into tangible tourism programs and commercial opportunities that drive inbound tourism growth to Jordan.
