Organized by the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities and the Department of Antiquities, in cooperation with the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, the five-day conference brought together scholars, researchers, and cultural leaders from Jordan, the Arab region, and across the globe.

In his opening remarks, Prince El Hassan highlighted the importance of Jordan’s cultural heritage as part of the Levant’s shared history, stressing that civilizations are built through dialogue and cultural exchange. He underlined Jordan’s role as a crossroads of civilizations and trade routes, and called for protecting cultural knowledge as a model for sustainability and resilience in facing global challenges.

The opening ceremony was attended by HRH Princess Dana Firas, dignitaries, academics, and international participants, underscoring the wide recognition of Jordan’s heritage and its role in cultural diplomacy.

JITOA proudly participated in the opening and, alongside the conference, organized a Roadshow in Athens to showcase Jordan as a leading tourism destination and to create valuable networking and business opportunities for its members in the Greek market.
