JITOA Successfully Organizes Landmark Tourism Roadshow in Tashkent, Expanding Jordan’s Global Footprint

Published : 05-10-2026

TASHKENT, UZBEKISTAN — In a major initiative to enhance Jordan’s international presence and unlock promising new source markets, the Jordan Inbound Tour Operators Association (JITOA) organized a highly successful promotional Tourism Roadshow in Tashkent, Uzbekistan on October 5th, 2026.

The event brought together 25 leading Jordanian inbound tour operators and hoteliers alongside approximately 110 prominent Uzbek travel agencies to explore partnership opportunities and boost visitor arrivals to the Kingdom.

The roadshow coincided with the official launch of Royal Jordanian’s new direct flight route connecting Amman and Tashkent. This milestone aviation link creates a strategic gateway to stimulate bilateral travel flows, introduce the Uzbek market to Jordan’s diverse tourism offerings, and foster strong commercial ties between the tourism sectors of both nations.

The event commenced with an opening address by H.E. Mr. Demiye Haddad, Ambassador of Jordan to the Republic of Uzbekistan, who welcomed attendees and emphasized the power of direct B2B engagements in positioning Jordan as a premier destination. Ambassador Haddad praised Uzbekistan as a high-potential market, commending JITOA for its proactive leadership and seamless organization in establishing direct communication channels between tourism stakeholders in both countries.

During the sessions, JITOA Executive Director Ms. Lama Mahadeen delivered a comprehensive presentation highlighting Destination Jordan's rich experiential product diversity, as well as JITOA's strategic role in marketing the Kingdom across global markets. Ms. Mahadeen emphasized key travel advantages for both markets, particularly highlighting enhanced accessibility—supported by Royal Jordanian's direct flights—and the ease of mutual visa-free entry between Jordan and Uzbekistan as major catalysts for driving seamless tourism growth.

The roadshow featured intensive B2B networking sessions between Jordanian tour companies, hoteliers, and their Uzbek counterparts. Participants exchanged itinerary proposals, discussed market preferences, and established formal business contacts to convert initial market interest into tangible travel bookings.

JITOA extends its deep gratitude to Royal Jordanian and the Embassy of Jordan in Uzbekistan for their unwavering support and active participation.

This landmark event highlights the critical synergy between private sector operators, official authorities, and national carriers in successfully driving market expansion. JITOA remains fully committed to organizing targeted international roadshows and creating direct business channels to ensure long-term growth for its members across emerging global markets.
