Published : 15-07-2026

As part of our ongoing efforts to enhance regional tourism cooperation and open new markets for the Kingdom, the Jordan Inbound Tour Operators Association (JITOA) organized a specialized workshop in Cairo, Egypt, on Wednesday, July 15, 2026. The event was held following an official invitation and close coordination with the Egyptian Chamber of Travel and Tourism Agencies.

The delegation was headed by Board Chairman Mr. Nabih Riyal, the Executive Director Ms. Lama Mahadeen, and JITOA’s Official Spokesperson Mr. Nidal Bani Issa, with the participation of 20 tour operator companies and 4 hotels from our members.

The workshop was attended by the Ambassador of Jordan to Egypt, H.E. Mr. Amjad Adaileh, alongside embassy members, the Chairman of the Egyptian Chamber Mr. Nader Beblawi, in addition to representatives from 35 Egyptian travel agencies who expressed strong interest in expanding cooperation with us.

The workshop opened with an address by Ambassador Adaileh, who emphasized the deep-rooted ties between Jordan and Egypt and the vital role of tourism in supporting economic integration. Board Chairman Mr. Nabih Riyal affirmed our keen commitment to broadening cooperation with the Egyptian market to drive tourism traffic, while Mr. Nader Beblawi underscored the importance of sustained coordination between both sectors to achieve mutual interests.

JITOA Executive Director Ms. Lama Mahadeen delivered a comprehensive presentation showcasing Jordan’s tourism assets, investment potential, and opportunities for collaboration in designing and marketing regional tour packaging tailored for international markets.

She affirmed, together with our Egyptian peers, that our distinguished relations form a solid foundation for intensifying professional engagements to overcome regional challenges, revitalize regional tourism, and enhance its competitiveness. The workshop concluded with bilateral (B2B) business meetings between our members and Egyptian agencies to explore future opportunities and craft joint itineraries that attract more tourists, elevating the regional and international standing of both countries.

This workshop aligns with our strategic plan to expand our regional network and consolidate key partnerships, ultimately serving the inbound tourism sector and supporting our national economy.
