A Bedouin Food Experience

The Bedouin of Wadi Rum have made this splendid desert their home for centuries. Traditionally, they lived a nomadic or semi-nomadic life as herders or traders, though in the past few decades many began to settle in local villages while others continue some of their nomadic practices. As the area became increasingly popular for tour-ism, the local Bedouin have extended their hospitality to visitors and are happy to share with them their customs and traditions.

Life in the desert progresses at a gentle, steady pace and this wonderful experience will give you a taste of the Bedouin lifestyle. Spend an afternoon with a Bedouin family, joining them as they go about their day and sit down to a homecooked meal with them. Hear their stories of life in the desert, learn about their local customs, and experience their warm hospitality first-hand.

Distinctive value

The Bedouins have adapted to the harsh conditions of living in the desert and have a unique way of life that is in harmony with the nature around them. This experience enables you to spend time with local Bedouins who have lived in the desert all their lives and who continue to practice and preserve Bedouin culture.
