Jitoa General Assembly Meeting & Board Elections February 26, 2024
Jitoa, Jordanian Inbound Tourism Association, convened its annual General Assembly today, Monday, February 26, 2024, at the Century Park Hotel in Amman. Ms. Ghada Al-Najjar presided over the meeting as Chairperson of the Board of Directors, with attendance from board members, staff, supporters, representatives from the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities, the auditor, and legal counsel.
During the session, attendees discussed financial and administrative reports and approved the final accounts for the fiscal year ending in 2023, following unanimous agreement upon review of the audit report. Furthermore, the Al-Talaf Audit Company was appointed as the association's auditing firm for 2024.
The Chairperson presented a comprehensive overview of the association's achievements, activities, initiatives, and agreements during 2023, highlighting efforts to support the tourism sector and inbound tourism, particularly in response to regional challenges, including aggression against our people in occupied territories. An advisory council comprising former association presidents was also announced to benefit from their extensive experience in inbound tourism.
The General Assembly endorsed the management board's report and financial statements for 2023, absolving the board of any liabilities.
In conclusion, members who had paid subscriptions for 2024 elected a new board of directors for the years 2024-2026, including:

Jitoa 19th Edition of Power Breakfast Series – February 13, 2024
In a recent meeting held at the Grand Hyatt Amman Hotel, Jitoa, in partnership with the Jordan Tourism Board (JTB), the Jordan Heritage Revival Company (JHRC), and Royal Jordanian (RJ), organized a power breakfast for inbound tourism companies and international hotel chains. The primary objective was to discuss this year's tourism activities in the Kingdom, particularly in light of the challenges posed by the conflict in Gaza. The meeting was a valuable platform for stakeholders to connect, express their concerns, and explore strategies to revitalize tourism. Discussions revolved around JTB's initiatives to gather insights for tourism recovery, highlighting a positive trend of increased travelers to Jordan. JTB's research department underscored the Kingdom's focus on new markets such as Russia, India, and China, prompting Royal Jordanian to consider new flight routes. Additionally, JHRC's Director-General introduced innovative marketing approaches for tourism experiences in the country, including the latest 'Roman Aqueduct Experience' in Umm Qais. Despite the hurdles posed by regional challenges, the Kingdom remains steadfast in its commitment to showcasing its achievements and future opportunities in the global tourism landscape.

JITOA’s 18th edition of the Power Breakfast series
The Jordanian Association for Inbound Tourism JITOA organized a Power Breakfast Event under the patronage of His Excellency the Minister of Tourism and Antiquities, Mr. Makram Al-Qaisi, His Excellency Mr. Nayef Al-Fayez, Chairman of the Aqaba Special Economic Zone Authority, and His Excellency Dr. Fares Breizat, Chairman of the Petra Development and Tourism Authority. Dr. Abdul Razzaq Arabiyat, Director of Jordan Tourism Board, attended the event, too. The event took place on Sunday, December 10, 2023, at the Intercontinental Hotel in Amman and was attended by many inbound tourism companies, hotels, and stakeholders in the tourism sector.
During the event, the attendees discussed action plans for inbound tourism in the coming years, focusing on the Golden Triangle. They also discussed the current tourism situation in light of regional developments. Mrs. Ghada Iskandar Al-Najjar, Chairman of the Jordanian Association for Inbound Tourism, gave a welcoming speech, emphasizing the importance of collaboration between the public and private sectors. Al Najjar stressed the need to work hand in hand with all stakeholders to implement the national tourism strategy for 2021/2025.
نظمت الجمعية الاردنيه للسياحة الوافده لقاء برعاية اصحاب المعالي وزير السياحة و الاثار مكرم القيسي الاكرم، ومعالي السيد نايف الفايز رئيس مجلس مفوضي سلطة العقبة الخاصه الاكرم ، ومعالي الدكتور فارس بريزات الاكرم رئيس مفوضيه البتراء ، و عطوفة الدكتور عبدالرزاق عربيات مدير عام هيئة تنشيط السياحة و ذلك يوم الأحد الموافق 10 كانون الأول 2023 في فندق انتركونتينتال عمان و بحضور عدد كبير من شركات السياحة الوافدة و الفنادق و المعنيين بالشأن السياحي ، حيث ناقش الحضور خطط العمل للسياحة الوافدة للاعوام القادمة ، والتي تشمل المثلث الذهبي ، كما و تم نقاش الوضع السياحي الراهن في ظل المستجدات الاقليميه.
هذا و قد قامت السيدة غادة اسكندر النجار رئيس الجمعية الأردنية للسياحة الوافدة بالقاء كلمة ترحيبيه تحدثت فيها عن اهمية التشاركيه بين القطاعين العام و الخاص ، و العمل يد بيد مع كافة المعنيين في هذا المجال، للسير ضمن الاستراتيجيه الوطنية للسياحة 2021/2025.
و قام الحضور بتوجيه الاسئلة والاستفسارات لإصحاب المعالي عن مواضيع سياحية مختلفة مركزين بذلك على منطقة المثلث الذهبي وعن دعم التجارب السياحية في المجتمعات المحلية في كافة محافظات المملكة

Exploring New Horizons: JITOA's FAM Trip in Petra Yields Insightful Feedback
Petra, Jordan - To further enrich the tourism experience in Jordan, the Jordan Inbound Tour Operators Association (JITOA), in collaboration with the 威而鋼
Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) and the Petra Development and Tourism Region Authority (PDTRA), organized a Familiarization (FAM) trip from December 2 to 4. Fifteen participants from various JITOA member inbound tour operators embarked on a journey to inspect newly developed tourism products in the historic city of Petra.
قامت الجمعية الأردنية للسياحة الوافدة (جايتوا) بالتعاون مع الوكالة اليابانية للتعاون الدولي (جايكا)، رحلة استطلاعية وترويجية، ل15 شركة سياحة وافدة من اعضاء الجمعية.
وجرى تنظيم هذه الرحلة في إطار برنامج تطوير مدينة البترا، وبدعم من الوكالة اليابانية وبالتعاون مع سلطة البترا التنموية، بهدف تعزيز وتسويق تجارب السياحة المحلية وفقًا لمعايير الجودة والاستدامة.قالت الجمعية لوكالة المؤثر الإخباري، إن هذه الرحلة فرصة مميزة لتجارب سياحية متنوعة، حيث شملت مجموعة واسعة من الأنشطة والفعاليات التي تم تصميمها بعناية من خلال التعاون الوثيق مع الوكالة اليابانية للتعاون الدولي، نحو تحسين وتنويع تجارب السياحة في البترا وتعزيز الوعي بالموارد الثقافية والبيئية الفريدة في المدينة وتنويع الفعاليات المتاحة بالمدينة الوردية وذلك لاطالة مدة اقامة السائح، واتاحة الفرصة للتجارب السياحية المحلية لعرض خدماتها والتي تحفز المجتمع المحلي من النواحي الثقافية والإقتصادية.
وقام المشاركون خلال الرحلة التي استمرت 3 أيام، بسبعة تجارب محلية، والعديد من الزيارات التي شملت مواقع أثرية وثقافية مهمة وعدة جمعيات محلية.
وبينت الجمعية، أن هذه الرحلة الإستطلاعية تعتبر جزءًا من الجهود المستمرة لتعزيز التعاون الدولي في مجال السياحة، وتعزيز الروابط الثقافية والأقتصادية بين الأردن واليابان .

GIZ / JITOA Local Tourism Experiences Portal Launching
Yesterday, Sunday, I witnessed the launch ceremony of the "JITOA Local Tourism Experiences Digital Platform," where the project to encourage micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSME), implemented by GIZ on behalf of the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) and in collaboration with the Jordanian Inbound Tourism Association (JITOA), was held.
The project aimed to develop the tourism experiences database (JITOA Portal), which includes a group of service providers, tourism experiences, and initiatives from various regions of Jordan.
This project aims to familiarize Jitoa members with different tourist experiences. The goal is to encourage members to include these experiences within their programs. Additionally, the project provides service providers with the opportunity to increase the demand for tourist experiences and the opportunity for indirect selling (B2B) through inbound tour operators.
The launch ceremony, held at the Fairmont Hotel, was attended by representatives of the MSME project and representatives of the Board of Directors of (JITOA), in addition to a group of Jitoa members and experience providers who benefit from the tourist experiences database.
اقيم يوم امس الاحد حفل اطلاق " قاعدة بيانات التجارب السياحية " حيث قام مشروع تشجيع المؤسسات الميكروية والصغيرة والمتوسطة لأجل التشغيل ،المنفذ من قبل الوكاله الامانيه للتعاون الدولي GIZ بالنيابة عن الوزارة الاتحادية الالمانية التعاون الاقتصادي والتنمية BMZ وبالتعاون مع الجمعيه الاردنيه للسياحه الوافده JITOA ، بتطوير قاعدة بيانات التجارب السياحية ، والتي تتضمن مجموعة من مزودي الخدمات والتجارب والمبادرات السياحية من مختلف مناطق الأردن .
يهدف هذا المشروع الى تعريف وكلاء مكاتب السياحة الوافده من اعضاء الجمعيه بالتجارب السياحية المختلفه ، وتشجيعهم على ادراج هذه التجارب ضمن برامج الرحلات السياحية المنظمة من قبلهم ،بالإضافة الى اعطاء مزودي الخدمة الفرصة لزيادة الطلب على التجارب السياحية وفرصة البيع غير المباشر (B2B) عن طريق وكلاء السياحة.
حضر حفل الاطلاق الذي اقيم في فندق فيرمونت ، ممثلين عن مشروع MSME وممثلين عن مجلس اداره الجمعيه الاردنيه للسياحه الوافدة JITOA ، بالاضافه الى مجموعه من اعضاء الجمعيه من مكاتب السياحه الوافده ومزودي الخدمات و التجارب المستفيدين من قاعدة بيانات التجارب السياحيه.

Electronic Manifest Workshop – April 26, 2023
Jitoa partnered with the Ministry of Tourism to host a collaborative workshop on Electronic Manifest for its members. The workshop aimed to familiarize participants with the electronic manifest system and its significance in tourism. Through interactive sessions, attendees gained insights into the benefits of electronic manifest solutions in facilitating smoother operations and enhancing traveler experiences. The Ministry of Tourism's involvement highlighted the government's commitment to leveraging technology to advance the efficiency and competitiveness of Jordan's tourism industry.

JITOA Annual General Assembly meeting April 26, 2023
The Jordanian Inbound Tourism Association held its annual meeting on April 26, 2023, at the Ambassador Amman Hotel, led by Mrs. Ghada Al-Najjar, Board Chair. The meeting, attended by board members, working members, supporters, and Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities representatives, approved the fiscal year 2022 financial report. Al-Talf Auditing Company was elected as auditors for 2023.
Achievements, initiatives, and advocacy efforts for members were highlighted, including Mrs. Lana Al-Hamarneh's detailed overview of the Himma and Lamah initiative's a樂威壯 ctivities in 2022. The General Assembly approved the 2022 Board report, financial statements, and absolved the Board of Directors of liability.
Looking ahead, the Board will develop the association’s 2023 administrative plan, continuing efforts to advance Jordan as a global tourist destination. 🌍🇯🇴

Digital Marketing Training
Jitoa, in collaboration with CBI, organized an intensive digital marketing training program for its members on February 18, 19, and 26, 2023. The training aimed to equip participants with the latest tools and strategies in digital marketing, enabling them to enhance their online presence and reach a wider audience. Through interactive sessions and practical exercises, attendees gained valuable insights into digital marketing trends, social media strategies, and content creation techniques, empowering them to promote their businesses in the digital landscape effectively.
